Matthew 10:23 meaning and explanation
When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next. Truly I tell you, you will not reach all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
Matthew 10:23, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Jesus is briefing the twelve before sending them out, and in the preceding verses he has told them plainly that opposition, flogging and betrayal will come. Here he gives practical instruction rather than a call to heroics: when a town turns hostile, move on to the next.
