Matthew 23:10 meaning and explanation
Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Christ.
Matthew 23:10, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Jesus is speaking to the crowds and his disciples about the scribes and Pharisees, who loved titles and places of honor. In verse 10 he extends the point he has just made about the titles “Rabbi” and “father”: no one should take the name “instructor” as a mark of superiority, because the Messiah alone is the teacher of his people.
