Nahum 1:7 meaning and explanation
The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of distress; He cares for those who trust in Him.
Nahum 1:7, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Nahum speaks to Judah, who has suffered under Assyria's power, and he has just described the LORD's wrath in storm and fire. Against that backdrop, verse 7 turns suddenly to comfort: the same God who avenges is good, and he is a stronghold, a fortified place of refuge, for those who take shelter in him.
