Nahum 3:11 meaning and explanation
You too will become drunk; you will go into hiding and seek refuge from the enemy.
Nahum 3:11, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The LORD continues his pronouncement against Nineveh, the Assyrian capital, through the prophet Nahum. Having just recalled the fall of Thebes, a seemingly impregnable city, God now turns the comparison directly on Nineveh: "You too." The drunkenness here is not literal drinking but a picture of staggering helplessness and confusion under judgment, a common biblical image for the cup of God's wrath.
