Numbers 12:14 meaning and explanation
But the LORD answered Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Let her be confined outside the camp for seven days; after that she may be brought back in.”
Numbers 12:14, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Moses had just cried out for Miriam to be healed after she was struck with leprosy for challenging his authority. God's answer sets a limit on her shame: even a father's rebuke would mean seven days of disgrace, so she must stay outside the camp for seven days, then be brought back in.
