So the Israelites did everything the LORD commanded Moses; they camped under their standards in this way and set out in the same way, each man with his clan and his family.

This closing verse reports that Israel carried out exactly what the LORD had commanded Moses in the preceding chapter. God had arranged the twelve tribes around the Tent of Meeting on four sides, three tribes per side, with the Levites and the tabernacle at the center, and had set the order of march.
