Numbers 20:27 meaning and explanation
So Moses did as the LORD had commanded, and they climbed Mount Hor in the sight of the whole congregation.
Numbers 20:27, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Moses, Aaron and Eleazar climb Mount Hor in full view of the gathered Israelites, obeying the command the LORD had just given in verses 24 to 26. The public setting matters: the transfer of the high priesthood from Aaron to his son Eleazar is meant to be seen, not hidden.
