Numbers 21:15 meaning and explanation
even the slopes of the wadis that extend to the site of Ar and lie along the border of Moab.”
Numbers 21:15, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
This line comes from a fragment of an old poem, the Book of the Wars of the LORD, which the narrator quotes to mark where Israel camped. The slopes and streambeds of the Arnon gorge ran down to Ar, a chief city of Moab, so the verse fixes the border between Moabite and Amorite territory.
