These were the descendants of Ephraim by their clans: The Shuthelahite clan from Shuthelah, the Becherite clan from Becher, and the Tahanite clan from Tahan.

After the plague that killed twenty four thousand Israelites, the LORD commands a new census on the plains of Moab, counting men twenty and older for military service and for dividing the land. Verse 35 lists the clans of Ephraim, Joseph's younger son, through Shuthelah, Becher and Tahan.
