“Tell the Israelites: ‘When any one of you or your descendants is unclean because of a dead body, or is away on a journey, he may still observe the Passover to the LORD.

These words come from God's answer to Moses after men who had touched a dead body asked why they should be excluded from Passover (verses 6 to 8). The LORD widens the invitation: uncleanness from a corpse or distance on a journey need not keep a person from the feast.
