Philippians 4:7 meaning and explanation
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:7, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul writes from prison to the Philippian church, urging them not to be anxious but to bring every request to God with thanksgiving. The peace he describes is not a feeling produced by good circumstances but God's own peace, which "surpasses all understanding," meaning it outstrips human reasoning and expectation.
