Proverbs 2:8, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

This verse continues a sentence begun in verse 7: the Lord stores up wisdom and acts as a shield for the upright, and here the speaker, a father teaching his son, says what that shielding means. God guards the paths of justice, the ordinary course of fair dealing, and protects the way of his saints, that is, those loyal to him (the Hebrew word hasidim means faithful or devoted ones).
