Proverbs 8:32 meaning and explanation
Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, for blessed are those who keep my ways.
Proverbs 8:32, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
In this chapter Wisdom is personified as a woman who calls out in public places, and here she turns from describing her place in creation to addressing her hearers as "my sons." She speaks as a teacher urging a response, and the blessing she promises is not a reward for merely hearing but for keeping her ways, that is, putting instruction into practice. The Hebrew word translated "blessed" carries the sense of genuine flourishing.
