Psalms 14:2 meaning and explanation
The LORD looks down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if any understand, if any seek God.
Psalms 14:2, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Psalm 14 is David's lament over human corruption, and verse 2 pictures the LORD peering down from heaven to inspect the sons of men, a Hebrew idiom for all humanity. The image is like a search: God is not gathering information but exposing what is found, that no one truly understands or seeks after God.
