Psalms 144:5 meaning and explanation
Part Your heavens, O LORD, and come down; touch the mountains, that they may smoke.
Psalms 144:5, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
David has just called the LORD his rock, fortress and deliverer, and now he asks God to act as he once did at Sinai. The language echoes the exodus, when God came down on the mountain and it smoked and trembled (Exodus 19:18).
