Psalms 22:12 meaning and explanation
Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.
Psalms 22:12, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
In this psalm David cries out to God from a place of abandonment and danger, and verse 12 turns to the enemies closing in on him. The bulls of Bashan were the well-fed, powerful cattle of a fertile region east of the Jordan, so the image suggests strong, threatening foes pressing in from every side.
