Psalms 23:6 meaning and explanation
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Psalms 23:6, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
David closes his psalm by turning from describing God's care to speaking of its outcome. The Hebrew word rendered "follow" can also carry the sense of pursuing or chasing, so goodness and mercy are not trailing passively behind the psalmist but actively hunting him down.
