Psalms 26:11 meaning and explanation

But I will walk with integrity; redeem me and be merciful to me.

Psalms 26:11, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

David is the speaker, and through most of Psalm 26 he has asked God to examine him and has pointed to his own integrity, his refusal to keep company with the deceitful, and his love for God's house. Here at the close he returns to that word integrity, but notice what follows it: a plea for redemption and mercy.
