Psalms 27:2 meaning and explanation
When the wicked came upon me to devour my flesh, my enemies and foes stumbled and fell.
Psalms 27:2, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
David speaks here as a man surrounded by real threats, likely enemies who slander and conspire against him, as the later verses of the psalm show. The vivid image of foes coming to devour his flesh pictures an attack meant to destroy him completely.
