Psalms 38:17 meaning and explanation
For I am ready to fall, and my pain is ever with me.
Psalms 38:17, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
David speaks here in the third of his penitential psalms, a prayer for remembrance offered while he is sick in body and hounded by enemies. Verse 17 follows his confession of sin in verse 18, so his pain is not only physical: he feels always on the edge of collapse, as if a single step would bring him down.
