Explanation preview

Psalm 59 is a prayer of David, according to its heading, when Saul sent men to watch his house in order to kill him. In verse 10 David turns from describing the enemies who surround him to naming what he trusts: the Hebrew word here is chesed, often translated loving devotion or steadfast love, God's covenant faithfulness.
