Psalms 9:7 meaning and explanation
But the LORD abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment.
Psalms 9:7, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Verse 7 turns from the enemy's collapse in verses 5 and 6 to the LORD himself. David has just described cities uprooted and names erased; now he contrasts that fading with the One who "abides forever." The Hebrew verb yashav means to sit or remain, and it pictures God enthroned, settled and unshaken.
