Revelation 11:2 meaning and explanation
But exclude the courtyard outside the temple. Do not measure it, because it has been given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for 42 months.
Revelation 11:2, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
John, exiled on Patmos, records a vision in which he is told to measure the temple and its worshipers but to leave out the outer courtyard. The measured space marks what God claims and protects; the courtyard is handed over to the nations, the Gentile powers.
