Revelation 11:6 meaning and explanation
These witnesses have power to shut the sky so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophecy, and power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they wish.
Revelation 11:6, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The two witnesses speak with the authority of Elijah, who shut the sky for three and a half years (1 Kings 17:1; James 5:17), and of Moses, who turned Egypt's waters to blood and brought plagues on the land (Exodus 7 to 12). John's readers would hear both figures in this verse.
