Revelation 13:12 meaning and explanation
And this beast exercised all the authority of the first beast and caused the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose mortal wound had been healed.
Revelation 13:12, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
John, exiled on Patmos, sees a second beast rise from the earth, and in this verse it acts as a publicist for the first. It borrows the first beast's authority rather than holding its own, and its whole work is to redirect worship toward the wounded beast whose wound had healed.
