Revelation 18:6 meaning and explanation
Give back to her as she has done to others; pay her back double for what she has done; mix her a double portion in her own cup.
Revelation 18:6, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
These words come from a voice from heaven in Revelation 18, addressing the fallen city Babylon, the symbol of worldly power and wealth that has corrupted the nations. The command to repay her double is the language of measured justice, not personal revenge, echoing Old Testament laws that required compensation for wrongs.
