Revelation 21:15 meaning and explanation
The angel who spoke with me had a golden measuring rod to measure the city and its gates and walls.
Revelation 21:15, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
John, exiled on Patmos, is being shown the new Jerusalem coming down from heaven, and the angel who has been interpreting the vision now holds a golden measuring rod. In Ezekiel 40 to 48 a heavenly figure likewise measures a restored temple, so the measuring here signals that the city truly belongs to God and stands secure.
