Romans 14:15 meaning and explanation
If your brother is distressed by what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother, for whom Christ died.
Romans 14:15, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul is writing to a church divided over food and holy days, where stronger believers felt free to eat anything while weaker ones abstained. Here he turns from rights to love: if a brother is grieved by what you eat, your freedom has stopped serving love.
