Explanation preview
In Romans 15 Paul is closing a long letter to a church divided over food and holy days, where strong and weak believers were judging one another. Verses 5 and 6 form a prayer: Paul asks the God who gives endurance and encouragement to grant harmony, and here he names the purpose of that harmony, that the Roman believers might together glorify God with one mind and one voice.
