Song of Solomon 7:4 meaning and explanation
Your neck is like a tower made of ivory; your eyes are like the pools of Heshbon by the gate of Bath-rabbim; your nose is like the tower of Lebanon, facing toward Damascus.
Song of Solomon 7:4, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
In this love poem the woman’s beauty is praised through a series of comparisons, and here the speaker describes her neck, eyes and nose. The tower of ivory suggests strength and elegance, while the pools of Heshbon, a city east of the Jordan, evoke clear, still water beside a busy gate.
