Titus 3:2 meaning and explanation
to malign no one, and to be peaceable and gentle, showing full consideration to everyone.
Titus 3:2, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul is writing to Titus, whom he left on Crete to set churches in order, and here he continues the instructions begun in verse 1 about how believers should live in public. The command has three parts: speak no evil of anyone, be peaceable rather than quarrelsome, and show "full consideration," a Greek word (epieikeia) suggesting yieldedness and fairness toward all people, including those outside the church.
