Zechariah 10:6 meaning and explanation
I will strengthen the house of Judah and save the house of Joseph. I will restore them because I have compassion on them, and they will be as though I had not rejected them. For I am the LORD their God, and I will answer them.

These are the LORD's words through Zechariah to a post exilic community still rebuilding after exile. "The house of Judah" and "the house of Joseph" together name the whole divided people, north and south, so the promise reaches beyond the returned southern kingdom to all Israel.
