Zechariah 7:14 meaning and explanation
But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations that they had not known, and the land was left desolate behind them so that no one could come or go. Thus they turned the pleasant land into a desolation.”

Explanation preview
The LORD is speaking through Zechariah to a delegation from Bethel who asked whether they should keep fasting in the fifth month, mourning the temple's destruction. Verses 11 and 12 describe their ancestors refusing to listen, and verse 14 gives the result: God scattered them among nations they had not known, and the land was left desolate, so no one could come or go.
