1 Chronicles 16:39 meaning and explanation
And David left Zadok the priest and his fellow priests before the tabernacle of the LORD at the high place in Gibeon
1 Chronicles 16:39, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
After the ark came to Jerusalem, David did not move every piece of Israel's worship at once. Zadok and his fellow priests stayed at Gibeon, where the tabernacle and the altar of burnt offerings remained, so the daily sacrifices commanded in the Law could continue morning and evening.
