1 Corinthians 1:11 meaning and explanation
My brothers, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you.
1 Corinthians 1:11, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul is writing to the church in Corinth, a prosperous port city whose believers had split into rival groups claiming loyalty to Paul, Apollos, Cephas or Christ. Here he names his source: members of Chloe's household, likely slaves or freed members of her household who had traveled to Ephesus, where Paul was staying.
