1 Corinthians 5:10 meaning and explanation
I was not including the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world.
1 Corinthians 5:10, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul is clarifying an instruction he had given the Corinthians in an earlier letter, now lost to us. Some had taken his command to avoid sexually immoral people to mean total withdrawal from nonbelievers, which would be impossible since the immoral, greedy, swindlers and idolaters are simply the world around them.
