Zedekiah, one of Ahab's four hundred court prophets, has just struck Micaiah in the face and demanded to know how the Spirit left him to speak through Micaiah instead (verse 24). Micaiah's answer is a prediction rather than a debate: the day is coming when Zedekiah will hide in an inner room, the most private chamber of a house, to escape discovery.
