1 Kings 22:35, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

Ahab, king of Israel, had disguised himself for battle against Aram at Ramoth-gilead, but a randomly aimed arrow struck him between the joints of his armor. This verse describes his long, humiliating end: propped up in his chariot so his troops would not lose heart, he watched the fighting all day while his blood drained onto the chariot floor, and he died at evening.
