1 Peter 1:13 meaning and explanation
Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober-minded. Set your hope fully on the grace to be given you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:13, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Peter writes to scattered believers facing hardship, and "therefore" ties this call to everything he has just said about their living hope and coming salvation. The phrase "prepare your minds for action" pictures gathering up loose garments for work, a call to clear thinking and readiness.
