1 Samuel 14:33 meaning and explanation
Then someone reported to Saul: “Look, the troops are sinning against the LORD by eating meat with the blood still in it.” “You have broken faith,” said Saul. “Roll a large stone over here at once.”
1 Samuel 14:33, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Saul has just learned that his exhausted troops, faint from his rash oath forbidding food, are butchering captured animals and eating them with the blood still in them. The report comes to Saul at his camp, and he treats it as a breach of faith, since Israel's law required the blood to be drained out before the meat was eaten.
