2 Samuel 12:13, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Nathan has just told David a parable about a rich man who took a poor man's only lamb, and David erupted in anger, only to hear the prophet say, "You are that man." Confronted with his adultery with Bathsheba and the arranged death of her husband Uriah, David drops every excuse and speaks a plain confession. The Hebrew verb translated "sinned" is chata, meaning to miss the mark or go wrong.
