Colossians 4:18 meaning and explanation
This greeting is in my own hand—Paul. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.
Colossians 4:18, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul normally dictated his letters to a scribe, so these final words are written in his own hand, a personal signature that authenticated the letter and showed his affection for the church at Colossae. He asks them to remember his chains, since he is writing from imprisonment for preaching Christ.
