Exodus 10:19 meaning and explanation
And the LORD changed the wind to a very strong west wind that carried off the locusts and blew them into the Red Sea. Not a single locust remained anywhere in Egypt.
Exodus 10:19, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
The LORD had sent an east wind to bring the locusts (verse 13); now he reverses it, driving them into the Red Sea, so that not one remains. The Hebrew word for the sea is yam suph, often rendered “Red Sea” or “Sea of Reeds.” Pharaoh had just confessed his sin and asked Moses to pray (verses 16 and 17), and this verse is God’s answer to that prayer.
