Ezekiel 16:7 meaning and explanation
I made you thrive like a plant of the field. You grew up and matured and became very beautiful. Your breasts were formed and your hair grew, but you were naked and bare.
Ezekiel 16:7, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
God speaks through Ezekiel to Jerusalem, picturing the city as an abandoned newborn found in an open field. In verse 7 the image shifts from rescue to growth: the child God tended flourishes like a plant of the field and matures into a young woman.
