Ezekiel 41:22 meaning and explanation
There was an altar of wood three cubits high and two cubits square. Its corners, base, and sides were of wood. And the man told me, “This is the table that is before the LORD.”
Ezekiel 41:22, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Ezekiel is being shown a visionary temple by an angelic guide who measures each part and explains it. Here the guide points to a wooden altar, three cubits high and two cubits square, and calls it “the table that is before the LORD.” In the law, the table in the sanctuary held the bread of the Presence, while the altar was for sacrifice.
