Ezekiel 45:14 meaning and explanation

The prescribed portion of oil, measured by the bath, is a tenth of a bath from each cor (a cor consists of ten baths or one homer, since ten baths are equivalent to a homer).

Ezekiel 45:14, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

In Ezekiel's vision of the restored land and temple, the Lord through the prophet sets out the offerings Israel will bring once they are back in the land. Verse 14 fixes the share of olive oil: a tenth of a bath from each cor, and the text notes that a cor equals ten baths, or one homer, so the gift is a tithe of the harvest.
