Ezekiel 7:4 meaning and explanation

I will not look on you with pity, nor will I spare you, but I will punish you for your ways and for the abominations among you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’

Ezekiel 7:4, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

God speaks through Ezekiel to the exiles in Babylon and to the land of Israel itself, announcing that judgment is no longer a distant threat. The repeated refusal to pity or spare is the heart of the verse: the LORD will not soften the consequences of the people's ways and abominations.
