King Cyrus also brought out the articles belonging to the house of the LORD that Nebuchadnezzar had carried away from Jerusalem and placed in the temple of his gods.

Cyrus has just decreed that the exiles may return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple. Here the narrator notes that the Persian king also released the sacred vessels Nebuchadnezzar had looted from Jerusalem and deposited in the temple of his own gods, probably Marduk in Babylon.
