Genesis 13:18 meaning and explanation
So Abram moved his tent and went to live near the Oaks of Mamre at Hebron, where he built an altar to the LORD.
Genesis 13:18, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Abram has just come back from Egypt and parted from Lot, and now he settles near the great trees at Mamre, close to Hebron, in the hill country of Canaan. Building an altar there is the same response he gave earlier at Bethel and Shechem: wherever he pitches his tent, he marks the spot with worship.
