Genesis 13:17 meaning and explanation
Get up and walk around the land, through its length and breadth, for I will give it to you.”
Genesis 13:17, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
After Lot separates from him, Abram is left in Canaan with only God's earlier promise. In verse 17 the LORD tells Abram to walk the land's length and breadth, a symbolic act of taking possession in the ancient world, like a legal claim made on foot.
